Mastercard and BVNK bring fiat and stablecoins under one roof

Mastercard and BVNK bring fiat and stablecoins under one roof
Mastercard and BVNK Unite Fiat and Stablecoins

Hey FinTech Fanatic!

What if you could manage fiat currencies and stablecoins through a single integration, instead of stitching together multiple providers? Mastercard and BVNK are making that a reality with the launch of Global Money Platform.

The platform combines Mastercard’s global payments network with BVNK’s stablecoin infrastructure, giving banks, FinTechs and enterprises access to multi-currency accounts, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local payouts through Mastercard Move, all through a single API.

Following Mastercard’s acquisition of BVNK in August, this is the first major integration of their capabilities. Early adopters include Nuvei, Marqeta, Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech, with the platform designed to support everything from treasury management to cross-border payments and, eventually, agentic commerce.

The bigger picture? Money is becoming more diverse, but businesses still need it to move seamlessly between different forms and networks. Mastercard and BVNK want to make that transition feel like one connected system.

And speaking of financial infrastructure, Incognia uncovered a fraud operation in Brazil that grew to 159 devices accessing more than 11,150 accounts. Its investigation shows how precise location intelligence can expose coordinated fraud that device-level analysis alone might miss.

Plenty more happening in FinTech today.

Let’s get into it 👇

See you on Monday!

Cheers,

Marcel

The breakthrough came from apartment-level location analysis, which connected suspicious devices to the same physical operation and exposed its growth over time.
