Airwallex Brings Yield To The U.S. Payments Stack
Hey FinTech Fanatic!
Airwallex just launched Yield in the U.S., giving businesses access to a AAA rated money market fund managed by J.P.
Morgan Asset Management directly from their Airwallex account. The product has already surpassed $1B in global assets under administration since launching in Australia just over two years ago.
The adoption is coming from SMEs with less than $10M in annual revenue. Companies use it as a simple way to keep idle cash productive while running daily operations.
Liquidity is the key piece. There are no lock-up periods, and funds generally settle back to cash in under two hours.
This is part of a broader shift I’ve been tracking. FinTech platforms are pulling treasury into the same place where payments already happen.
Inside Airwallex, businesses can now move money between payments, FX, corporate cards, payouts, and yield accounts from a single dashboard. No external transfers. No separate treasury relationship.
As Airwallex CEO Jack Zhang put it, the goal is a global, digital-first banking experience where working capital is generating value instead of sitting idle.
That evolution is hard to ignore...
The stack keeps expanding across FinTech. Keep scrolling 👇 I’ll show you a few more moves below.
Cheers,
